1. Think of a specific exam format you have struggled with in the past, and answer the following: a) Describe that format you have struggled with in the past. One of the format that I have struggled with in the past is essay writing. There are two main reason for that. First of all, as an international student, English is my second language. Therefore, my poor vocabulary, my grammar, my improper sentence structure, all this factors make me struggled on the exam, and make me did bad compare to others. For example, When I faced an exam that need us to write three or even more essay in 2 hours, I found is really difficult for me to complete because when I tried to explain something in the essay, I don’t know which words that I can use under certain situation, or sometimes I cannot find a new word which can replace the word that I often used. In this case, it lead me to keep repeated a same word in one essay, and that gives me a bad mark at the end. Secondly, as a management student, essay is the most common assignments or exam questions that will appear during the academic term, therefore, how to deal with essay question is my most str uggled exam format in the past. b) Describe 2-3 distinct problems that you have encountered with that type of exam.
